It’s been a long time coming but the LONGFIN, is finally available for charter. The LONGFIN is a 43’ Custom Built Sonny Briggs from North Carolina and has one of the most stable rides you will find in the whole Ocean City fleet. She boasts twin Cummins Diesel engines and a Lugger generator, the latest in electronics, new glass, and a completely rebuilt cockpit floor and gunwales along with a #130 class fighting chair and over $20,000 in fishing rods and tackle. Want to standup fish? Belts and harnesses abound!
Since she has been under our ownership she has won 2nd place with an #85 white marlin (the largest in the in 20 years of the tournament) in the White Marlin Open. She has also put up an #80 Wahoo that was good enough for 1st place in the White Marlin Open and a #126 Mako shark good enough for 2nd place in the Open. In addition, she has also placed 2nd overall the Tuna Tournament for overall weight and tied for 2nd place heaviest tuna (and we only fished that tournament our first year of ownership!). As for inshore fishing, we have taken 1st place in the tautog division of the Rocktoberfest Tournament at least seven (7) times.
Refurbished and ready for charters, this boat hull simply attracts fish regardless. Having 25 years of offshore experience under my belt on 3 different boats, I can assure that your Captain and mate will work 110% for your charter.
From half day seabass and flounder trips to sharking trips and full blown 24 hour overnight trips for tuna and swordfish (my favorite) there is a charter and price available for everyone and every budget. Dual air conditioning systems and dual heads, along with a flat screen TV will keep your charter in comfort and entertained between bites. In addition, while the rest of the charter fleet stops fishing at 3:00 pm, I will often stay out an extra hour or more in the afternoon to get the late bite. So, while paying for a 12 hour offshore, you will usually get an additional bit of fishing time. I just want to catch you fish! No matter what it takes!
